I’ve loved this children’s book since it was first published in 1999. We were entering a new century then, but unlike a lot of children’s books that were written specifically about the 2000 new year, the delightful cumulative poetry of this book holds up for every year, not just 1999. And the illustrations are eye-catching with bright, vivid colors on black.
Check this one out and bring it home for your child. Reading it together on New Year’s Eve may become a tradition.
Happy New Year, everyone!
