Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

carry on rowellSimon Snow is the worst Chosen One that has ever been chosen. He’s blonde and beautiful and fundamentally incapable of controlling his prophesied extreme magical power. To make matters worse, Simon’s vampire arch nemesis and roommate, Baz, has mysteriously gone missing. Is Baz hiding in the shadows waiting to attack? Is he planning to team up with the Insidious Humdrum and take over the magical world? Or is Baz laying in a coffin somewhere dreaming about a romantic picnic with Simon?

Baz is a deeply troubled and remarkably handsome troublemaker who does his best to live up to the vampire reputation. He’s tried to kill Simon on several occasions over the years, but lately he can’t decide if he wants to bite him or kiss him. Oh, the woes of young love/hate.

When the Insidious Humdrum comes after Simon and the wizarding school, Simon and Baz must team up to figure out how to stop him and save the world. Will there be blood? Will there be angst? Will there be lots and lots of kissing? YES.

Carry On is equal parts Harry Potter parody, fan fiction and teenage dream. It was seriously amazing. I can’t recommend this cute cute cute novel more. Just check it out and read everything and then read Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell– a story about a girl obsessed with Simon and Baz. All of it’s beautiful and I really can’t handle any more cuteness.

Check the PPLC Catalog for Carry On.
